Isn't this more or less what Chompsky, Rushdie, and other critics of 'cancel-culture' have been warning about? Once the pandora's box of stamping out 'harmful' speech on campuses was open, it was always just a matter of time before the tactic got appropriated by the other side and turned against its originators.
